Your circle.
Your game board.
GhostRun is a real-world chase game for crews of up to 20. The host stands anywhere, sets a 100–2,000 m circle from their precise location, and players get a secret role. Run, hide and outsmart with no contact.
Hide in plain sight.
Trust the map.
Don’t trust your friends.
Every hunt is played inside a circle the host sets from their current location. Roads, rail, water and private property are not automatically excluded — hosts and players are responsible for choosing lawful ground.
No costumes, no props, no physical contact. The chase is a virtual tag confirmed by proximity, and the server keeps the boundary honest.
Pick your kind of trouble.
Every mode uses the same host-set circle and the same secret-role start. What changes is who is chasing whom — and how the match can turn.
Elimination
The classic. Shadows scatter, hunters work as a team, and every tag takes one more runner out of the match.
Infection
One runner starts infected. Every tag grows the hunt. The last clean shadows have to survive until the whistle.
Capture & Rescue
Tagged shadows go to a jail beacon. Their crew can bring them back with a hold-to-rescue — if they dare cross the circle.
Forty minutes.
One good story.
Arrive with a charged phone and shoes you can run in. We handle the roles, the map, the clock and the safety brief. You handle the betrayal.
Choose the ground
The host opens Create room, localizes their precise position, and sets the circle. Players join with the room code and check their own GPS accuracy before starting.
Get your role
Your phone reveals Hunter or Shadow privately. Teams are balanced by the server, not by the loudest person in the group.
Read the radar
Hunters get a compass sector and distance band, never a live exact position. Sonar and abilities tighten the picture at the right moment.
Compare stories
The whistle ends the match. Results, captures and the best escape land in the app before you leave the area.
A game that knows where the game ends.
A public space is still a public space before it is a game board. The circle is the only enforced boundary. Hosts must choose safe, lawful ground and players must follow local rules.
- 01Virtual tag
No contact. Ever.
A tag is a proximity check on both phones. You never need to touch another player.
- 02Boundary
The circle is the boundary.
Leaving the play area for longer than the 5 or 10 second grace removes you from the match. Roads, rail, water and private property still require judgment.
- 03Host
Hosts choose the ground.
Use open, familiar, well-lit areas and a radius appropriate for the number of players. Local rules and whoever manages the ground always take priority.
- 04Exit
Leave whenever you need.
The exit is always one tap away. No penalty, no questions, no pressure to keep playing.
Your circle.
Any lawful ground.
The host stands where the game should happen, localizes their precise position and chooses a radius from 100 to 2,000 meters. The server uses that circle for warnings, eliminations and captures.
Names already on the board.
This is the live leaderboard from the GhostRun database. If it is empty, no one has finished onboarding yet — we will not invent a top five.
