Safety charter

Safety is a rule,
not a setting.

Every play area is public ground before it is a game board. These rules are enforced by the app, the host who set the circle and the players in it. Breaking them ends your match and may end your account.

Emergency · 112 16+ only No contact Exit always visible

In an emergency, call 112.

Then tell the host. GhostRun staff can help emergency services find a match through the room code, but we are not an emergency service and we are not standing on the ground with you. If you are injured, lost or frightened, the game stops.

The charter

Seven rules.
No exceptions.

Read them before you play. The host should repeat the short version before the circle goes live, because nobody reads a long page while they are excited.

The short version

If in doubt, stop.

No contact. No roads. No buildings. No water. Stay inside the circle. Tell a human if something is wrong. You can leave at any point without explaining why.

GhostRun is a game for people aged 16 and over. The app asks for a date of birth during onboarding and will not complete an account below that age.

    No physical contact.

Tags are proximity checks on both phones. Do not grab, block or touch another player.

The app does not exclude hazards.

Only the circle is enforced. Roads, rail, water, construction and private property are still there — the host is responsible for picking ground that is safe to run on.

    Stay inside the circle.

If the app warns that you are leaving the play area, walk back in. Do not climb fences, cross carriageways or cut through traffic to do it.

    Respect the place.

You are a guest on someone's street, park or beach. Follow local rules and signage, keep noise down, and do not block paths or damage anything.

    The host owns the call.

The player who set the circle picks the ground, briefs the group and can end the match. If there is a marshal or organiser at a public event, they outrank everyone.

    Weather can end a hunt.

Lightning, heavy rain or an area closure ends the match. A round is not worth standing in a storm.

    Leave whenever you need.

The exit is one tap away. No penalty, no questions, no pressure to keep playing.

Stop. Tell a human.

Pause the match from the safety button, tell the host, or call 112 if there is immediate danger. You will never be asked to finish a game before you are safe. Reports are reviewed by a person, not an automated score.
